To promote the prosperity and development of China's metaverse industry, five departments including the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism have jointly launched the "Metaverse Industry Innovation and Development Three-Year Action Plan (2023-2025)", which has adopted a series of measures. These include compiling a catalog of excellent metaverse products, as well as soliciting and publishing typical application cases and scenarios. To implement this plan, organizations such as the China Cultural Industry Association, the Beijing Information Industry Association, and the China Advertising Association, in conjunction with top domestic industry organizations and authoritative institutions, have initiated a national collection campaign. The campaign aims to collect metaverse products and cases with innovative, demonstrative, and leading features, and will compile and publish the "National Catalogue of 1000 Excellent Metaverse Products and Compilation of Demonstration Cases".

The collection focuses on the cultural metaverse (such as culture and tourism, cultural relics and museums, film, and media, and other culture-related fields), industrial metaverse (such as automobile, energy, textiles, and other industrial fields), medical metaverse, educational metaverse, architectural metaverse, etc., encompassing products and cases related to the metaverse. Product types cover diverse metaverse-related technology fields such as virtual reality, digital twin, virtual simulation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital people, and more. Submitted products and cases should have successful implementation case studies and demonstrate high quality and exemplary effects in social value, innovation, economic benefits, and embodying Chinese characteristics.

The first round of collection will continue until June 18, 2024, and extensions can be requested in special circumstances without any fees. We will carefully select outstanding products and cases to submit to national and local relevant departments, and use them as important procurement references. Additionally, these products and cases will be showcased on national-level high-end platforms and promoted nationwide.
