China's first internet big data service platform specializing in the field of cold storage.
The first domestic internet big data service platform focused on the cold storage field, Lianku, has successfully completed a Pre-A round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. The financing was provided by Dongfang Venture Capital, with WeBank offering digital venture services support, accelerating Lianku's development and innovation in the cold chain industry.
Lianku (Shanghai Lianku Information Technology Co., Ltd.) was established in 2022 under the guidance of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and is a national-level professional cold chain information technology service platform. It provides comprehensive internet ecosystem full-chain services for the cold chain industry, including online cold storage resource matching, digitization, centralized procurement of equipment, planning and design, rating and certification, and national cold chain warehousing and logistics solutions.
According to statistical data analysis, by 2023, China's cold chain demand is expected to reach 350 million tons, with overall industry revenue anticipated to exceed 517 billion yuan, showing an annual growth rate of 5.2%, while the total cold storage capacity will reach 228 million cubic meters. Despite this, the domestic cold chain industry still faces challenges such as fragmentation, intense competition due to homogeneity of resources, insufficient infrastructure, low per capita storage, a low degree of information technology, and relatively traditional operating models.
The rapid development of sectors such as live commerce, fresh food e-commerce, community group buying, and chain catering is driving an industrial ecological transformation and upgrade. The Lianku platform leverages the cold chain data resources of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and, using advanced AI algorithms, has analyzed and integrated information covering over 90% of the nation's cold storages, creating its unique data assets.
The data foundation of the Lianku platform spans 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, covering 327 cities across the country, including information on over 20,000 cold storages. Customers can place orders through the platform and, based on their needs, receive accurate cold storage matching services. The platform provides detailed information such as real photos of the cold storage, prices, facilities, and contact information, helping customers quickly and conveniently find suitable cold storage resources.
In terms of cold chain logistics distribution, Lianku not only helps customers find warehouses but also provides a service for finding delivery vehicles. The platform has partnerships with multiple logistics fleets and has integrated third-party logistics companies such as JD Cold Chain, SF Cold Transport, and Huolala into the system. With big data analysis, it forms personalized distribution schemes and service personnel help execute offline logistics services, ensuring users can complete deliveries quickly and conveniently.
Moreover, the Lianku platform has conducted star ratings for covered cold storage resources and categorized them according to factors such as storage capacity and service quality, simplifying the process for users to find the right cold storages. This has also enabled services such as "warehouse-led distribution" and "drop shipping" to be realized through the Lianku platform. To improve efficiency, Lianku has adopted electronic contracts to replace traditional paper contracts, ensuring transparency and security of qualifications between cooperating parties.
